Clown Garage and Unexpected Productions are joining forces in Issaquah!!

In 2026, Clown Garage partnered with Unexpected Productions, the longest running improv school in Seattle, at Pike Place Market, to take a bold step forward by open The Improv School in Issaquah. Our vision is to create a vibrant hub for creativity, connection and alternative theatre on the Eastside. This new space will be more than a classroom; it will be a place where students grow, businesses build stronger teams, and audiences experience the magic of live improv comedy and the circus arts.

WhY CLowN?

CLowN as Skill & Presence

Practicing Clown brings levity into your life. By exploring your own silliness, you develop courage, resilience, empathy, and confidence that extend far beyond the stage.

CLowN as Community Practice

Clown connects us. It’s about finding joy in poking fun at ourselves and the status quo, creating a playful, united community of fools.

CLowN as Physical & Comic Craft

Through play, improv, rhythm, timing, and status exercises, participants refine their “Clown motor,” take comic risks, and gently approach the elusive, joyful state of Clown.

CLowN as Cultural Disruptor

Fools have always flipped status on its head, brought joy to the masses, and poked the bear. The world has enough ego-driven leaders—clowns remind us to laugh, question, and keep life in perspective.

"Mick is a phenomenal facilitator and educator. Very funny and approachable, creating a safe space for everyone."
